Common Questions
Everything you need to know before making a decision.
What is the difference between a nurse registry and a home health agency?
A nurse registry (like Tender Touch Services) refers independent caregivers — CNAs, HHAs, LPNs, and RNs — directly to clients. The caregiver works for you, not for us, which often means greater flexibility, continuity of care, and lower costs. A home health agency employs the caregivers directly and charges accordingly.
What counties does Tender Touch Services serve?
We serve five counties in South Florida's Region 9 / Region H: Palm Beach County, Martin County, St. Lucie County, Indian River County, and Okeechobee County. If you're unsure whether we serve your area, call us — we're happy to help.
How quickly can care begin?
In many cases, care can begin within 24–48 hours of your consultation. We understand that need for care can arise suddenly, and we prioritize urgent situations. Call us at (561) 247-7832 for immediate assistance.
What credentials do your caregivers hold?
All caregivers referred through Tender Touch Services hold valid Florida state credentials — CNA, HHA, LPN, or RN licenses as appropriate. We verify all licenses before referral. We also ensure every caregiver has passed a Level II AHCA background check and holds current CPR certification.
What is a Level II background check?
A Level II background check is a comprehensive criminal history screening mandated by Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). It includes fingerprint-based checks at the state and federal level (FBI), verifying no disqualifying criminal history. This is a higher standard than a standard background check.
